This ongoing project aims to make observation of Near Earth Asteroid patterns accessible, to promote public engagement with space data, and facilitate a sense of connection to celestial objects despite light pollution.
The visualisations are generated in p5.js with data from the NASA NeoWs API, and are then compiled using Photoshop and InDesign.
Below is an example of a document where the Asteroid Patterns are presented for all Lunar Months within the Gregorian calendar year 2020. The available data goes back to 1900 and beyond 2100, and I endeavour to produce documents for all these years.
