Spirit World is a fictional media channel reporting from an imagined near future where spirits local to Earth and the surrounding cosmos make themselves visible, in order to lift the morale of humans who are facing the harsh realities of climate change.
Furthermore, the visible presence of spirits intends to remind humans that they must strive to live in harmony with all beings & entities, in order to ensure a sustainable future for all.
Practically, this project let me explore how to transform an abstract concept into tangible content. I used stock videos of India as the base to animate spirits over, composing initial scenes in Illustrator and then animating them in After Effects.
